Lots of good-natured ribbing on this site, and occasionally not so good-natured. Just remember, these are just games kids play and all of our favorite athletes and our hated rivals athletes are just kids. Keep it in perspective, especially as football season draws closer.

Zach Farmer, a pitcher on Ohio State's baseball team, succumbed to his battle against Leukemia today at the age of 21. It is a sad day in Buckeye land, but may he rest in peace.

I agree, as long as those kids do not harm others, especially females. sorry to hear about farmer. way too young

Like you say it is just fun ribbing fans from other teams but it is very sad for any person to lose their life so young, prayers for his football family and his family.

I guess the Lord motioned for a lefty from the bullpen.

Randy Johnson mentioned Zach during his Baseball HOF induction ceremony speech. They never met but talked on the phone a few days before the HOF ceremony. The Big Unit got a little emotional. He's a class act. It was one of Zach's dying wishes. He knew he was dying. His other wish was to marry his girlfriend which he did a couple weeks ago.
