Went to swap game camera cards out yesterday. I found one camera turned off and another missing the card. Who would do this without stealing the cameras outright?
I remembered my neighbor catching a trespasser on his cell - camera last month. So I texted and asked if he had any recent encounters with anyone else. I told him someone had messed with my camera's this week. About the time I hit send, I realized my 10 year old son and I were in a hurry and made these mistakes while changing cards last week. So, I humbly admitted my mistakes, assuring our neighbor that everything was fine.

I believe God gives us these lessons to calm us. Time to read Philippians again.

That was going to be my comment. Look in the mirror :D !

At least it was only a week, and not a month or so. It is very frustrating pulling a card and then realize that there was a problem and you have nothing.

I had setup one of my cell cameras on a worn trail along a fencers that connected 2 thickets. I never got any pics, so I went back out there a couple of days later and found someone had turned it off and left it open.
They did this only 1.5 hours after I'd set it up.

While not theft proof, I keep python cable locks on mine, right here in my backyard. Been running cameras for over 20 years, and have gotten plenty of trespassers, but been fortunate not to have any stolen. (Knocking on wood before submitting this)

I pulled a card from one camera and managed to stick it in another camera 2 minutes later.
I would be too embarrassed to list out all the camera mistakes I've made over the years. But the most frustrating one is to not turn a camera back on after swapping cards, and that's because I've done it SO MANY TIMES. I usually do it at least once per season. Already did it once this year.

That's really a pita, I've been there.
