Didn't DeMarcus Russell eat himself out of the league.
So far it looks like he's not taking his career to serious. The NFL only gives a small window to make it and if he's not careful, he will be on the outside looking in.
Winston said ,"Trying to lose some weight, try to get back skinny," he said of his plans. "Right now I'm 238 (pounds), I'm trying to be my redshirt freshman year (weight), about 230. I mean, learn that playbook too, man, you can never go wrong with that."
Love Smith and Winston's team mates say he is a workaholic and they make him take time off.
Brady—225.
Big Ben –240
Peyton 230
Aaron Rodgers after Yoga workouts this off season is down to 225
Sorry to hurt your feelings but Winston is doing great. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
About that small window, Winston can throw thru it. You know any other QB drafted this past draft that can do this?
GnB you better get your info from some place other than where it comes from now.
Winston looked even better at rookie minicamp than the Buccaneers were expecting when they selected him with the first overall pick in the draft.
"I told my wife, Blair, 'I gave him an A,'" Bucs G.M. Jason Licht told USA Today. "I thought it was a great day. He knew the offense already.
"That's a leader," Smith said. "That's a trait you're looking for in your quarterback, a guy who can bring the group together. That's definitely him."
The Bucs haven't anointed Winston as the Week One starter just yet, but Licht noted that that's the idea when you take a quarterback No. 1. In Tampa Bay, Winston looks like the franchise quarterback. The only problem the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had with Jameis Winston so far is that the rookie quarterback doesn't know when to go home.
"We have to kind of tell him when to leave,'' coach Lovie Smith said Thursday.
Looks like a guy who isn't serious. :tu:
