Yesterday afternoon is a hunt I'll remember always, and one that means more to me than any other that I can recall. This year marks my 28th season of hunting and this moment/hunt yesterday afternoon surmises what deer hunting is all about for me.
My son who recently turned 7, dropped his first deer at 116 yards with his 6.5 creedmor using handloads 140 grain Nosler Partition and DeadAir Silencer. The bullet went through and through both shoulders.
To say we were ecstatic is an understatement (see video

I'm certain he's hooked for life.
