i need some luck to turn around geez. been after 2 specific birds for 2 weeks now. both no matter what i do will do the opposite of what they did the day before OR something crazy happens like today.

had one of them 50yds out and had a perfect set up and a dang Coyote comes out of the woods and spooks him, thing flew up in a tree 40yds from me then 20mins later flys 300 yds in the opposite direction. I mean come on! and to make it worse the dang coyote wouldn't give me a shot.


have had another one seriously just do the opposite or something odd each time i think i finally got him like flying down from roost 600yds across a field and just sitting there gobbling at me for 45mins to only walk off.

today was enough to really frustrate the crap out of me! think i will put my pants on the opposite way in the morning and see what happens. its hard when you only have a short amount of time before you have to go to work each day but i guess its better then nothing.
 
I feel ya. Back to back days we had crazy issues. Day one we had a 4wheeler ride in on the neighbors at 6:30, they road our property line. Then parked on the corner and went into the other neighbors field. One dude had on brown cloths and white gloves, they were hunting but not positive it was turkeys even though they started cutting really loud.

10 mins later the other neighbor drives his truck through the woods, turns around on our line and drives back. I assume he was checking our fields, hopefully he wasnt trying to screw us up.

Each time we had birds gobbling but shut up after the neighbors came through.

The next hunt the first birds we heard gobble were on our neighbors behind us. It was around 5:40about 5:45 we hear a gun shot and no more turkeys. Good Ol fashion roost shootin.

I liked it a lot better when no one else turkey hunted.

You've been in on how many kills this year? You get to hunt every day before work? Yeah....having trouble crying any tears for you. I'll go peel an onion and try though! :tu:
