It's been an interesting weekend for weather. We got out yesterday afternoon after the rain moved through and was able to get his first tag punched for the year. He had a rough year last year so good to get the monkey off his back on the first day.
23.5 lbs, 10.75" beard, and 15/16" sharp spurs
Biggest bird by weight either one of us has killed and his longest beard.
He also loaded the shell that he killed him with.
We seen a strutter headed to roost yesterday afternoon late but was pouring the rain this morning. We nearly got it done on the same bird after church but got pinned down in a bad setup that was too open. Did get to watch him strut for about 10-15 mins at 80 yds.
Good weekend considering.
