I was hunting near one of my game cameras yesterday afternoon. A doe and fawn come through. The fawn was in the front, and it crossed my camera's path. When it made the "click" noise, the doe stopped and started staring at it, stomped her foot a couple of times, and did the things that she would do if she were looking at you in a tree.
She actually went around to the back of my camera 20-30 yards, then came buck up a little and rejoined her fawn under the white oak tree.

I thought it was very interesting. Kinda bummed that maybe the reason why I don't get many pictures, but cool to watch.

What kind of camera is it? Most of the digital cameras are silent, but i use to have one that made a clicking noise as well.

It is one of nicer Moultrie ones. Don't know the actual model. The click it makes is pretty loud. I would get another, but I have a low budget. Also have a wildview, it is crap though.

I absolutely will not use a trail-camera that produces a loud "clunk" when the IR filter switches back and forth. It can scare the crap out of deer, and they WILL begin to avoid the camera.

this happens all to often and I have had deer looking into the cam I guess at the anticipation of the flash going off and nervous as a cat in a dog kennel!

I have a moultrie and have noticed the same thing and have several pictures of deer running away from it
