Any of you from this area? This is my second year with a Black widow Longbow. Looking for some tips on shooting.Would be great to get together with someone and learn a few things. I hunted with a recurve in the early 80's but went to a wheel bow. Decided to go back to a simpler way of doing things.

Yeah thers sevral from the mid tenn area on here, actually suprised someone hasnt already shouted at ya, I guess ther all hunt'n.

Black widow huh (pics would be cool...), sounds like ya have good taste in equipment anyway, would love to try one some time but dont know anyone local who ownes one, I shoot a old Bear grizzly I refurebed sevral years ago, dont have a lot in it but its fun to shoot and any time something is cheap & fun...how can ya go wrong.

Welcome to the fray, post often & see if we can get this threda move'n again.

Thanks foxfire. Sold my high tech compound to help fund the purchase. Bought it from a guy out in Idaho. Shooting wood arrows and magnus heads. Built all my compound arrows and a few wood. Gonna try to invest in all the stuff necessary to crest and complete my own set of custm wood arrows. Cant wait to get my first deer with it and get the monkey off my back.

Always wanted to crest some arrows but never got around to it, couple yeras ago bought some of the florecent orange wraps & have to say they look good & aint nothing but easy.

Shoot magnus myself, love the fact that I can resharpen instead of buy'n replecements, solid broadheads.

When ya stick one be sure & post the pics.

I thought I was gonna stick a buck last sun. A.M. I was in a new place 20' up overlooking a funnel full of torn up maple saplings. Buck was feeding on some small pin oak acorns and I just couldn't find a hole or a shot opportunity. 20 min. later a doe comes in ...only a yearling. Would have been good eating but I can wait.
I'll get to learning how to post pics so when the time comes I can post em.
I like being able to re-sharpen my heads too. Like I said, K.I.S.S.(Keep It Simple Stupid!) ;)
