Does, or has, anyone hunt/hunted up in southern west virginia at all? I've always thought about trying it out but not sure how it is up there vs. here. I've been looking into hunting out of state for next season. just trying to get some insights.
I believe you're right about that, listened to a podcast on lunch that mentioned those 4 counties. thank you.4 counties on southern most tip is bow only from my understanding. Some studs all over the state though. Good luck
It can't be much different than hunting North Cumberland i would imagine, it's really not that far for a 3 or 4 day weekend huntI keep threatening to go up there. Very rough and rugged terrain but there are some giants roaming in those hills, especially in those 4 archery only counties.
I work with a few guys that are from there and they go hunt a week each year. The terrain is the exact same as North Cumberland. Somehow there are just so many more deer. The pics they send me are incredible. They kill some monsters up there. That's in the bow only counties. I can't remember which one.It can't be much different than hunting North Cumberland i would imagine, it's really not that far for a 3 or 4 day weekend hunt
