Had a buddy of mine from work who couldn't get good arrow flight from his bow he'd just bought. I told him the other day at work to bring it on out this morning. I set the bow up, which was way out, and then starting shooting the bow thru paper. It would not tune. After further research found he was sold a bow and aluminum arrows which were way underspined for his bow. I happened to have some XX78 superslams 2315's from my old PSE Mach 8 setup which were spined correctly for his set up and cut to length. After only a few shots he was shooting bullet holes thru paper, he was also way overdrawn with his set up which I adj to fit him. It is somewhat disturbing to me how little time many bow shops will spend getting a customer set up properly. One of the main reasons I bought the equipment and tools to do my own work for many yrs now...
Also FWIW, the bow would shoot incredibly different when I shot it thru paper compared to him. Any of you local fellars need some personal help let me know. I hate to see a fellar archer and hunter struggle with a bow set up problem.
