Fished last week with a little wind chop and my buddy in the back of the boat was catching more fish and I noticed that my poles were bouncing a lot more than his being in the front of the boat. My boat is a 16 footer and no room to move poles. I was thinking about what might work to counteract the bouncing on less than ideal wind days. I'm open to ideas.

I was wondering about using a float but not sure the best rig. I'm using 16 ft poles and a two drop rig with a 3/8 barrel weight in the middle. I can't have my buddy out catching me.

I always went to a larger weight on those windy days, up to 3/4 ounce.

Good thought! More weight would allow the pole to bend more and take some of the bounce out.
