Hot off the roost... I'm on a hardwood ridge in the edge of thick undergrowth looking downhill. one gobbles close, here they come I can hear the leaves rustle. Spit drum and gobble and here's 1 red head at 10 yards and the strutter right behind him. Too much thick growth my gun wasn't quite ready so they passed but stayed in range. Finally I had to stand up slowly and found a red head through a thick bush. Got the bead on him but wanted to be sure not to miss, so I looked for the best hole to shoot through. Then......PUTT PUTT too late! That was close. I got all day to hunt

Sounds like a great start to a day of hunting. Unfortunately I am working and won't be out in the blind until late tonight. Last night I had a total of three beards in the field with me, no shots.

Catman i was up at 2 am watching some of your vids on youtube lol they are what i call real hunting vids granted the footage is limited via self filming is hard but would rather watch yours than tv footage

thanks man glad you like it. This morning would have made poor footage anyway the way the camera was pointing and all the undergrowth blocking view of the turkeys. Maybe ill get a better shot soon
