Question about Spitfire broadheads. Ive always shot fixed blade Thunder heads and after taking the crossbow plunge bought the SF heads. Ive noticed that the blades are staying closed after passing through my target. Is this normal? Expected the blades to be open.

They will close when you pull the bolt from the target if it has gone all the way through.
I noticed that as well, but if you put a piece of paper or cardboard on the face of the target you will see that the blades do open.

The sudden stop may be slapping them back closed.

That is what i have seen at times. After they hit they can close IF they pass through. The paper plate idea is a good one it should prove they are opening on the back would show it stays open.
