Anyone have either of these? Any thoughts/opinions? I think I'm finally ready to branch out from the realm of Glocks... maybe... possibly...

Considering getting something smaller. The G26 is currently my smallest. I used to have the Bodyguard 380. I actually liked the gun, but a guy made me a good offer and I sold it. Trigger pull was ridiculously long though. I'm not crazy about the 380 round, but it's definitely better than having nothing at all.

I have an XDS 45 auto and it's become my main carry gun. It's easy to hide with the N 8 2 Tactical holster, t-shirt and shorts or anything else I wear. At first I was afraid of the recoil of such a small gun but I was surprised, it's not bad at all more a push back than a sharpe recoil like the 40 cal.

I also have the Ruger LCP in 380 and I do carry that sometimes when I'm wearing a suit.

I went to the range during lunch and rented the XDS 45. I liked it a lot. The trigger pull is a little longer than I'd prefer, but the trigger reset wasn't bad and follow up shots were better than I expected.

I think I'm going to pick one up as soon as I can find the best price. I went to 3 stores in town. The prices were $579, $559, and $549. The cheapest would be about $605 out the door.

I'd like to buy from a local store to help them out, but BudsGunShop.com has it for $499... plus the cost of the FFL transfer.. would total about $535 out the door.

I think I'm going to go the cheaper route and put the extra money towards night sights or a trigger job.

I'm a huge Glock fan but I've about quit carrying anything but my S&W Shield. Definatly give it a look if you want a smaller carry gun.

I bought a 938 when they first came out. It was a turd. But I believe they made some changes to them very shortly after that.

I've looked at the Shield several times, but just prefer the way the XDS sits in my hand.

I had a full size M&P and never was real crazy about it. It wasn't bad, but I highly preferred my Glocks and I think that is kind of in the back of my head pushing me away from the Shield. In hindsight, I wish I had shot the Shield at the range today to compare the trigger to the XDS.

I have the shield and had the xds. Hands down IMO the shield feels and shoots better. Trigger is alot better. But you can work the trigger on the xds if that the only thing stopping you from getting it. It may just be my hands but the shield feels great and the xds didnt to me.

Ordered the XDS .45 from BudsGunShop today. They had lowered the price to $485.... plus FFL/background fee... can't beat that. That's almost $100 cheaper than I can get it in town. I hate not to support the local folks, but money doesn't grow on trees. At least a local place will make a couple of bucks off the FFL transfer.

Well.. went to the gun show in Murfreesboro today. I was surprised to find a really good price... and brought home a Sig P938 Extreme.

I don't need both the XDS and 938.. but the price of the P938 at the gun show was over $100 cheaper than any other place I've found it. I was completely shocked at the price and couldn't pass it up. Not sure if I'll keep it, but I know I can break even if I decide to sell it.

Are you sure money isn't growing on trees? :D Congrats on both.

If you've paid any attention to the classifieds you know I've sold about 3 of my Glocks in the last 6 months! Sell old toys to buy new toys!

Got the XDs today. Can't wait to shoot it.
