Not impressed to say the least. I've had it out 4 days and it's already on 25% battery and the picture quality absolutely sucks. Here's a comparison of a picture from a WGI cam that I had on this tree before the cell cam vs the cell cam pic.

The pictures the camera sends to phone are not great quality most of the time but if you pull the card the quality improves. I know the purpose of the cell camera is to not have to pull cards as much and it works for that. The cell picture give you a general idea of what's on camera and in the area.

Agree with you, that photo quality leaves a lot to be desired. I have seen some of the transmitted photos from Tactacam Reveal and they look pretty darn good to be sent over the air via cellular service. With that said, the camera is brand new so I'll reserve opinion until they've been deployed in the field for 2-3 years with ample feedback from consumers. They are priced right at $100, so may be worth taking a look. I am not affiliated with them, just sharing my experience and initial impression.

I have two link micros. Been out over a month and batteries still holding up. Back in Dec they lasted over a month with the cold weather. I assume you're using lithium batteries. Quality of pics are much better once you pull the card. The transmitted pics show enough for me. What do you expect for a $100 cell cam? Lol

Here is a transmitted image from a $99 cellular camera. Lithium batteries, high speed class 10 SD card, and good cellular signal at this location. Like I said, a lot of other variables need to be examined over time before I would recommend the camera. The photo quality appears to be legit for $99. This is on 12 megapixel setting on the camera too, not the highest setting 24 megapixel.

That pic does look good. Are you sure it was transmitted because the magnifying glass in the top left corner suggests it's a pic on a computer. Here is a transmitted pic from mine. If the reveal gave you free pics like the spypoint it would be a better deal as long as the bugs are worked out.

Reveal pic above was transmitted to Tactacam Reveal app, saved to a smartphone, saved to Imgur for ease of sharing, and uploaded here for easy viewing. No manipulation whatsoever.

Good deal. I hope Tactacam blows it out of the water. They need to add the free pics each month and the referral benefit along with first month free and I'll give them a try.

Is that for first 100 transmitted pics only, or how does that work? If so, is 100 pics/month sufficient for most of your needs? I've always wondered what the average count is for pics transmitted monthly to "most" users. I know there are extremes on both ends, but never knew what middle of the road looked like (100, 250, 500, 1000, etc).

The first month is free unlimited once the camera is activated. The monthly free is 100 but you can turn the camera cell function off or only have it transmit during a specific time. The 100 will be finished in 1-3 days if on salt or bait. If it's a trail or edge of woods it will last much longer. I don't utilize the unlimited plan other than a week or two before season for the first few hunts. Then I'll use two months from end of Oct to Dec. Of course you don't have to renew until the free 100 are used if you pay monthly. What I like is the referral program. When someone new buys a camera they can enter your email and both people will get either money off a new camera or $15 spypoint bucks which is a month of unlimited.

The face on the Tactacam Reveal camera appears to be a blackflash, but they claim " low glow infrared". I'll have to investigate more at night and see if there is anything I can see with my eye. Just because I cannot see any "glow" does not mean wildlife cannot see it. On a side note, no pics yet of game spooking and running off. It has only been in the field a week though, so still too early to tell. Link below to their website.

Ours show up much more clear...we are running six and have been pretty pleased for the camera price. Although the batteries drain very quick unless running Lithium Batteries.

I only have one Micro and I bought it last fall, but my pic quality to phone is much better than that. Mine isn't great on batteries, but a lot better than you are getting. For a $100 cell camera I've been very impressed. I was planning on buying more. I hope I'm not disappointed.

This is a Screencast of one of my spypoints. I've downloaded all newest updates, recommended batteries, recommended card. I purchased two hoping that one was just a dud maybe but the second is just the same. I like the app and way its setup but the quality kills it for me. I underatamd they are 100$ when on sale but I think the picture quality has got to be better even for a 100$ camera. I wont buy anymore. I really want to try another brand but don't k on what direction to go to be priced in the vicinity as the spypoint with even just minor improved quality id buy 10 lol

Here's a pic sent this evening. Quality is set at medium. I have 40% reception showing. 79% battery and this camera has been out over a month. I'm on my free 100 that started today. Not sure why some cameras show worse quality.

I even asked customer service about different quality in different cameras because I have friends that have a few that the quality is rather good. They really didn't give me an answer. Mass production I guess idk really.

In reference to the Spypoint, if you set it to send your pics to the app once a day, then your battery life with increase tremendously! My first set of high grade alkaline batteries lasted 6 months.
