getting ready to leave church now. Pick out a spot to cook out on the natchez trace parkway. Rest of the family will come over and we'll have a picnic. Then I'm off to go hunting the rest of the afternoon. If I don't kill a bird this afternoon I hope to roost one. No sense in wasting gas - staying overnight in the car, getting up at 5am and heading out to chase the birds in the morning. Will have to head home around midday/early afternoon. Hope I get on a gobbler!

That's pretty dedicated. I don't mind staying overnight in my vehicle, but I got a truck with a camper topper.

well all I saw were 2 hens in the field. As it got to sunset I called em and they came and roosted near me. No gobblers seen or heard. Not sure where to set up in the morning...

good luck! i couldnt handle sleeping in the car, i would have to find me a fold out lawn chair, and sleep in the edge of the woods or something. If i was to sleep in a car, when i woke up i would tear everything in it up thinking i was running off the road :)

lol I'm just gonna kick back the seat and set my phone alarm for 4:45am or something. Meeting ImThere cause he got a spot that sounds promising

ImThere got him a bird! We heard a lot at dawn but they all flew onto private land. Later on approached another field from a different angle and found one bird which eventually followed a single hen out into the field. It was a good day. I went fishing as well and got a couple fat prespawn bass.
