What do you guys that have these guns use? The rail is high and the sight I originally bought to put on it is way too high. I can't even put my check on the butt of the gun it has it mounted so high! Any help is appreciated!

cant comment on the rail as I dont have the gun, however as another solution to what you have you can look into the Shotgun Wedge in the link below. I use one on my SBE2 with a steadygrip stock and know a bunch of other guys that use them as a soft cheek riser. They make great products and Michael (the owner) is a super nice guy to call and talk with.

What kind of sight are you wanting to use?
Try a bushnell trs-25. They can be had for under $60 when on sale.

I haven't held one, but I'm sure the rail comes off with 2 screws. You can probably use one of the existing holes (assuming they are 10-32 which is fairly standard) and have another hole tapped (1/2" spacing) then use a Burris 336 mount or one similar. Sumtoy Customs makes a nice one for about the same price. You'll have $50 in the mount, but it's well worth it.

It sits high with any reflex sight. My face is nowhere close in touching the stock but it doesn't bother me for some reason with this gun. My 12 and 20 i use speedbeads so I have a great cheek weld. You can remove the rail but a 336 want work. This is a pretty good system they thought of though cause they didn't have to drill into the barrel.

Look at Sumtoy Customs, he makes a low profile specifically design for that gun.

The Burris and Vortex sights use the same footprint. Other brands might not work though.
