So, my brother in law called me from Rhone County and said he was bush hogging a field when he seen a gobbler gobbling like crazy. A hen set down, and he bread her, then she went back into the woods, he starting gobbling again, then another hen came by for service.

Never heard of such a thing mid-june.....

Yes, I would love to have another bird to bread up and fry.

It's not uncommon at all for them to continue well into July. Especially in the mountains here
 
The biggest tom I've ever seen in person was strutting like a boss yesterday in Murfreesboro off 99. Two hens in front of him. I drove over to them (uncool of me because it's not my land) and he was undeterred until I got within 50 yds. I just couldn't believe my eyes at his size from the road. I turn into a stinking child when I see that.
