Although 2 of my 3 hens have stopped laying (one due to going broody), I still have 1 hen that is laying around 4 eggs/ week and allowing the dominant gobbler to top her! I had heard to expect around 75-80 eggs per bird if the eggs are gathered regularly, but this one girl has been going strong since the first of April!

... I've just allowed the new generation to come and go without pinning them up. The majority started leaving the pen and free ranging around 3 months of age, and I lost several to a fox. Not sure if the others wandered off or were lost to predators as well. The jenny that is left for some reason seems to relate to the chickens she was raised with more than other turkeys, so she prefers to spend the day in the fenced in chicken run, but still roosts up high in the pine trees... hope she makes it!
