So sorry to hear it. I have had several stolen over the years. Even lock boxes and cables are not 100% theft proof...but they do slow them down. The best ones I know of on the market today are the Camlok boxes. They are reasonable in price as well. Of course, the master lock python cables 3/8" are standard for cabling them to the tree. I try to put my cameras off the beaten path. The ones I have had stolen are the ones that were in obvious places (i.e. along edge of fields, same place I had others stolen, etc. ). Also, I try not to do anything to attract attention to them - for example: no feeders, no big, white salt blocks, etc. I also use spray paint and oak bark template to paint my metal boxes - and I even use it to camo the strap that goes around the tree. Then, I take a some gray spray paint and try to use it to break up the cable. You'd be amazed how a solid black cable or a solid green strap sticks out in the woods. These tricks have kept my camera thefts to a very minimum over the last few years.
