String fray

Once again Radar is right on. Fraying is a sympton. Your string is wearing. Wax can help this situation from getting worse.

A broken strand is a problem. It will need to be addressed ASAP. Depending on your bow, you will need to get a broken strand to a bow shop for evaluation immediately. In mid season if the break is just a single strand and in the unserved areas of the string then some wax and possibly a quick serve can patch it for a short while. Some bows, especially the super high speed bows I wouldn't risk it. Go ahead and replace it. If you have more than one strand broken on any bow, go ahead and replace it. Or if it is broken under the serving. Replace it.

If its just fuzzy. Wax it and keep it waxed.

That is why you should always have a broken-in, prestretched string put up for your bow, for bow season.
If this was the off season I would recommend replacing your string for any signs of wear. Then is the time of year to replace it. But mid season I would replace it only if it becomes unsafe to shoot.

If the "fuzz" is just below the serving, it may be coming in contact with something on a repeated basis. If not your arm, then maybe a loose sleeve. Use an arm guard to keep everything clear or cut the toe off a sock and slide that over your sleeve.
