I bought a STS string stop to put on my switchback xt. It shot fine the first day I shot. Went out today to shhot and string is jumping off top string supressor. Don't know why. Thanks for any help.

Can you adjust the STS to where the string lays in the middle of the rubber stopper at rest? I had this problem with another suppressor until I got it adjusted where the string was centered with the stopper.

I think you are supposed to have a little clearance between the string and the stopper when not at draw....

It sound kind of like the string may be pressing against the stopper and it is just resting to one side or the other.. The string should probably rest with a very small space between the two...

Just an opinion.....I may be way off track....

I don't understand what you mean by:
jumping off top string supressor

What are you calling the "top".

I'm not sure how they are making them now, but with mine you can pull the rubber off. When I set mine up I pulled the rubber off. The I lined the actual rod up with the string. I then marked the rod and "holder"(for lack of a better word). That got the angle where I wanted it. The I reinstalled the rubber, got the clearance that I wanted and then lined the rod and holder back up to the marks I had made. Might not be the text book way to set it up, but it's the way I did it and it works fine. Past that see your local dealer. good luck

Mathews has sting supressors on top limb and bottom. After I shoot the string ends up on the other side of top supressor. But problem is fixed now. Bought a mathews dead end string stop. It's V shaped and rubber is a little harder. Will be selling STS if anyone's intrested. 10-15 shots on it nothing wrong with it just didn't work for me.
