String suppressor

Yes , I used the original STS that was an aftermarket string suppressor before they became standard equipment on most bows .

Never used a aftermarket one but as Scott said, most bows come equipped with some sorta supressor now days!!

Mathews-on the cams(also has a Dead stop you can add to your bow)
Hoyt,Bear-back of the riser

I bow hunt with a Duravane String Tamer. On my Drenalin.
Works great, but serve your string. It will wear it without one.

I use one on my bow,and notice how much it stops the rebounding of the string. Gets quiet, quickly.

I did however, not understand how this effected the shot itself.
Didn't see how these benefits had any effect to arrow flight,as the arrow was already released.

Good to know.
Thanks

STS WILL MAKE A BIG DIFFERNCE IN YOUR SHOOTING

Why?
How?

It stops the forward motion of the string sooner , therefore it makes a bow somewhat less sensitive to wrist torque .

To add to that it stops the string at the perfect peek of power. In other words as the string passes the vertical center point it starts decelerating and any time after that if it is still in contact with the arrow it is actually slowing it down until the nock pops loose from the string. In my opinion the sudden stop of the string releases the arrow the same every time at the right point.

Good product but not required!

Agree.
I have one,but if you don't want to spend the money, it's not necessary for hunting IMO. Not a must have.

I put a vibracheck on my PSE. Left enough room to slide a piece of paper between the rubber piece and the string. After about ten shots the peep went flying off my string. What did I do wrong?
