This is from the latest homebrew I built. Very pleased with picture quality. I actually thought this gobbler was killed by a poacher, he was strutting in front of the cam 30 mins before I got a pic of a poacher carrying a turkey out on that same cam. But I caught the poacher later, he admitted to killing a jake, then I got the gobblers pics again after that. Hoping this gobbler will be my girlfriends first turkey this weekend.

Cool keep us updated on how hunt with the GF goes.

My lady friend doesn't hunt but has no problems with me going. Shes a country girl thats cityfied and I guess Im the inverse of that. Her dad likes to hunt so shes use to it and expects me to be gone.

Great pics BTW. What did the poacher have to say for himself? That problem resolved?

Will do. Oh I said alot, he said alot lol This is an actual quote from him. " I didnt think No Trespassing, meant No Turkey Hunting". I about came unglued. Its settled now, I took out a warrant or summons thing on him. He didnt want to go to court so he just paid the fine I reckon.

at least its settled. I can't believe peoples logic sometimes. I have had to play nice with the locals in my areas (or at least the one closest) bc I live so far away. But now he watchs my land like a hawk...so I guess more than one way to skin a cat. If I lived closer I'd probably do it differently though.

I dont want it to sound like I just prosecuted the guy at the first whim he was trespassing so Ill explain better the situation. Im a nice guy and would have just let him go with a warning without these surrounding circumstances. This property is about 12 minutes from my house, this guy lives maybe 300 yards from me, a neighbor basically to my house. This same guy put a bullet through my next door neighbors window, so that shows what I thought of how responsible he was. He knew who owned the property, started hunting there last Spring while I was deployed. I know he was in there at least 3 times already this year as well. Crossing a locked gate and looking at No Trespassing signs each time. Theres 2 ways to get in there and he was using the back way, was never there when I was. So that morning, I parked where my truck would be hidden from view from the road and wouldnt you know it, here he comes slipping along. Then once caught, he starts arguing with me. An about 60 year old overweight man telling me that if he was dishonest, he could have ran away from me and I would never caught up LOL Then after all of that, he has the gall to ask me if he could use a logging road thru my property that I own so he can reposition on turkeys and listen for gobbles on an adjoining tract, after he has already used that road for that purpose without asking me about it and already left that road numerous times to go into the interior of my property and kill at least one turkey. Hope that helps explain why I did what I did.
