Turkeys with arrows gets expensive.
Hit a hen last Fall using 125gr Spitfire. After pass through, I heard $30 rattle through the trees. (Shaft, broadhead and Lumenok). She tumbled off a ravine and it took one more shot to finish it, with a broken shaft. Another $14 (shaft and replacement blades.)
Took a shot at a tom and the shaft buried itself somewhere in the weeds. Even a metal detector couldn't find it. Another $30.
Got a Tom, and came out sheap. Only needed $7 in replacement blades.
So, final total=$81 for 2 turkeys.
Now, it was fun, I'll give you that!! I'll just think long and hard next time before I release that arrow.
