Did something pretty stupid last night. I shot my bow a few times and did very well. I had an arrow that wouldn't back out of the target. It had one of my older Muzzy BH on it. So, whats a man to do? I just reached down to spin the head off of the arrow like I have done before...

Ouch. 1 inch cut to the bone on my left thumb that could probably use a few stitches.

USE A BROADHEAD WRENCH NEXT TIME IDIOT! is what I said to myself while pouring blood over the yard. I never cease to amaze myself. :(

That is my tip of the day.

I wrapped it up good after I bled a gallon or so, then tried to shoot again. 5 of 6 in the "zone". Hurt like a Mutha! Prolly hold off a week or so before I pick the bow back up again.

Did I mention I shoulda used a wrench?

That sucks!
Several yrs back broter-in-law pulled his muzzy tipped arrow from my form target with his hand on the target against his arrow. Before I could say anything the webb between his thumb and index finger was severed through the muscle. It look like you gutted a pig. He hasn't done it since though. LOL

Hope you heal up fast.

Hope you heal quickly Bro. When I cut my hand bad one evening, I made a blood trail around the yard to see how well different light work for tracking.

My wife Rolled her eyes real bad with that one. My thought was, "Why waste all that good blood?"

Again, heal quick.

I wish I had thought of that! I am, to say the least, accident prone. Next time I cut myself, I'll try that.

This is the funniest thing ever.
While boning out my VAAP last year, I but my thunb (stab style), to the bone. Wrapped it up, finished boning out the buck and then went back to hunt again. It kept bleeding all day, then bled some more on the Sunday hunt.

In fact, it bled off and on for the next few days. Working on a patient mid-week, I realized my thumb was bleeding again and had to leave the room to wrap it again.
