Ive known about their quality rifles for some time and know many that have used them. This year I finally decided to get my own for some suppressed hunting. Got a SP hunter that came threaded in 6.5PRC with an 18" barrel (I know kinda defeats the purpose on a PRC) and it was fluted.
Started with Hornady ELDX which was ok but not great on groups, more in the 1.5 to 1.75 inch groupings.
Moved to Barnes LRX 127g and man it started to shine. Shot multiple .5 groups with it with an overall average of .8 after 5 3 shot groups.
I love the barnes bullets but got some 140g Accubonds the other day to try cause that is a bullet I absolutely love. Went and shot them today and first 5 shot group were all sub MOA and then 2 more 3 shot groups that averaged out to .7 inch.
for a rifle that cost me $680 out the door I couldnt be happier and unlike a few other rifles ive owned it doesn't seem SUPER picky on ammo.
Also as a side note. I took my 7mm08 (not threaded yet) to shoot as well to try some new ammo. I will say with 1000% certainty I will NEVER EVER own another rifle I cannot suppress. Man it makes such a difference in enjoyment of shooting. Even in my 6.5PRC vs 7mm08 was wild how substantial you could feel the recoil reduction on the 6.5 suppressed vs the lighter kicking 708 unsuppressed not to mention the obvious sound and concussion reduction. After 3 shots on the 708 I didnt even want to shoot it anymore lol.
If your in the market for a semi inexpensive (cost is obviously relative to the buyers finances) I highly suggest the Bergara. Also the trigger is freaking NICE for a factory trigger.
