My son was at our duck hole about sunset on Monday and gave me a call. Ducks, mostly mallards, were bombing in from the stratosphere in big bunches. They were coming in from the north and the south. We have high water that has flooded natural food for the 1st time this year.

I posted it in the other season thread but the last day was the first and only bang em up day we had all year. And our backwater hadn't even got out yet. But it sure has now and basically the entire month of February has been prime conditions for our spot lol. And I've heard there's been plenty of ducks.

They ought to be finding plenty of water to splash in and find food and do ducky things now.

Seeing hundreds in the backwaters behind my house. Any and all types, snow geese are also heavy in the area.
