I picked up Shane Simpson's 3-reed, reverse combo cut from his website callingallturkeys.com. The call is made by Hooks and is super user-friendly just like all their calls. It compliments my raspier Executioner 2 (split v).

If you haven't tried a Hooks call, you are missing out!

Here's a sound file (recorded inside)

gobble sounds good, amazing how many people dont know you can gobble on a mouth call pretty easy actually.

I've tried and tried but I can't gobble on a mouth call. I can gobble pretty good on a tube call though.

i have found if you cant do it how it noramlly sits in your mouth you can flip it around where the tape is backwards then rest the latex on your lips and just do a feed call (duck call) and it works pretty easy. the key to gobbling on tube or mouth is to start the sound high then get lower. A lot of people make the mistake of starting low, getting high, then going back low which is not how a gobble really sounds. your air flow should be max in the beginning then slowly reduce it.

also i also prefer a tube call for it any day of the week but will use a mouth call in a pinch
