Saturday morning I called a bird to the edge of a field I was setup on. He was about 80yds away strutting and gobbling but wouldn't come any closer. He finally easied off over a rise still gobbling. I decided to move and setup about 10yd from where he was just strutting, made 2 yelps on the Dawkins slate and 30 seconds later he was dead at 25 steps.

Sunday morning I got in front of 10-15 hens followed by 2 strutters. Had to wait on this guy to finished breeding 2 hens back to back before I made the shot. One of the best turkey hunts I've had.

Didn't hunt Monday.
Tuesday morning had 2 gobbles fly down at the far end of field I was watching. They would gobble at my call but didn't see a hen and wouldn't come my way. When they easied off (still gobbling) I made a move to the other end of the feild where they had just been. Started cutting at them and here they come right back.

Thursday morning I setup in the same spot I killed the bird Tues. I could see one on the roost about 200yds away on another property gobbling his head off. He ended up flying down into a big hay field across the creek from my property. He gobbled he head off for 15-20 mins trying to call up a hen. Without much hope I called to him, then pulled my phone out and started texting a buddy. Out of know where he gobbles about 60yds away just over the hill from me. Next gobble and his 30yds over my left shoulder.
