Taxidermist Recommendation

Hey All,
My daughter shot a nice deer in Meigs County and I am in need of a good taxidermist. This is her biggest deer to date and wants it on her wall. So, what's a dad to do? Any recommendations? I don't mind traveling over toward middle TN if needed. Thanks

good luck! they are getting fewer every year...and more expensive
 
I'm afraid you are right. I had a good one over in Henry County that I used when we were hunting over there, but the only one close to me now has retired. Don't mind traveling, but west TN is a long haul.
 
Toward east TN in Cookeville is Wilson's Wildlife Artistry. Not cheap but does extremely good work. My deer taxidermist here in middle TN is not taking any more deer, so I can't recommend him. Wilson's may be full as well, I know he got slammed during the velvet season.
 
Thanks for the replies. I will give these guys a call. Hymie3, please list the number for Troy as well. Anyone heard anything about Mowery Mountain Taxidermy in Decatur? I just was told about them yesterday, but had never heard of them.
 
Thanks for all the replies. I spoke with Mowery Mountain Taxidermy and looked at some of his mounts. He is doing some impressive work and found out that I used to work with his dad here in Cleveland. Good people, and I am going to get him the deer on Monday or Tuesday. He said he was right at his limit for taking on more deer, but would if I didn't mind waiting 8 or 9 months. Everyone else I talked to said at least 1 year out.
