My daughter never cared much about hunting until a couple years ago. She has come to love it. She killed a good one Saturday evening 8 ptr, dressed 158 lbs. I got lucky and put ladder stand in the right spot. he was about 20' in front of us, looking at us when she shot. He didn't go far. Best hunting day for me ever. Her 7th deer (I think, I don't remember if she killed 5 or 6 last year) but her best buck by far.

Awesome!!! Some of my favorite memories of my daughter were us sharing a deer stand. Cherish the moments!!
Congrats to you both!!

Thanks, it was a great hunt. Deer dressed 158 lbs., grossed 127", a great 8 pointer.

I heard a deer, she thought it was squirrels, there were squirrels, but I knew I heard a deer. I called a couple times and not long he showed up. We were in a ladder stand and she couldn't get moved to shoot to the right, he walked toward us and then turned and was to going to be broadside at 40 yards. There is a lane that goes right past the stand, when he got to the lane, I thought she was going to get a close broadside shot, he turned and started toward us down the lane. At about 20' he looked up at us. She shot him and and he didn't go far. I was so excited she told me to calm down.
