Also if you look at the list, UF has already landed 26, which means they have 2/3 of their class committed. They will do go to be in the top ten when all is said and do e. Usually the majority of the bigger recruits do not commit as early.

Good point, which brings up this... How in the heck does Saben pull it off every year. When you have 4 top five recruiting classes in a row, he should win NC every year, if he is doing his job.

Less immediate playing time promised means that depth is being built. A lower number of takes this cycle means it has to be more quaility and less quantity. I got to believe Butch has some aces up his sleeve before signing day. Nobody thought Drew Richmond would be a Vol on signing day last year and Butch brought him home. There will be some like that this year as well I think but I'm not positive that he will be top 5 just because of the fewer number of recruits he's allowed this year.

He can promise the NFL...... Not a lot of coaches can do that.

Drew will be great for the Vols this year as a redshirt freshman. Butch bak rolled the five star so he could have a year of strength and conditioning, and I do believe it is paying off.

Star gazers will be disappointed; but as has been proven before, the one's assigning the stars really don't know much either and often pander to the certain schools. That is one reason why Bama is always so high. Just look at the high-star QBs they have had, and the lack of success in the NFL. Why is that ?

Another example of "stars don't matter" is the Vols lowly three-star Olineman who just happened to make first team, SEC Freshman team while Drew Richmond was redshirtting !

Or anytime a vandy player goes to the nfl, or receives any kind of award.I don't know if vandy has ever had a five star recruit, and they rarely get a four. Example, Jordan Matthews was a two star and broke almost every sec receiving record and is playing very well in the nfl.

I don't write this stuff but on avg.... Stars matter. I think some forget that there's exceptions to every rule like the 6'4" RB .. Lol
