Tellico/Louden??

Fish it alot, look for main channel points, drop offs and ledges, this time of year i do good using brush hogs, and crankbaits on points. I usually go up toward concord park/prater flats, I'm not the perosn to ask for tellico. seems i can't seem to eery do any good on tellico. Word of caution, the canal is now a no wkae zone while bridge is being built and the no wake bouy's aren't very big. Good luck with your tournment

mainly largemouths but there are some big smallies. the canal itself is good for smallmouths. i know ft. loudon much better than tellico. when you go through the canal, stay left as there is a VERY large rock near the bank to the right. continue across the channel to the bluffs on the other side. from there upriver in the next 3 or 4 coves has always been good for me. also if you go to the left of the arrival point instead of to the right and the bluffs, up fork creek embayment, you will see a big stone house on a point. the next cove on the right to the end of the bay is my home grounds. my folks live across the road from the stone house. if i can be of any help at all, just ask.

As someone said, around concord park is good, especially for smallmouth, and prater flats is hard to beat. Upper end of tellico is always a good bet, but quite a boat ride from the canal.

Pretty much what they just said. Its different fishing then you are used to if you fish west Tn river all the time. I may be able to help a little if the fish are still where they have been the last 2 weeks or so. Ill pm you. what club do you fish with? Are you going to try and pre-fish any?

Football hunter we went for 6 hours sunday and spotted fish deep(20ft-30ft) and we threw everything but the rod at them and never got a hit, we did catch some on tellico shallow on crankbaits, and a couple on worms, all small. We didn't run to far up ft loudon but i woul drecommend stinking creek and go as far as you can up in it and start there and work your way out. Also on your way out hit the banks at the bridge on both side, been several good ones pulled out of there. Goodluck on your Tournment.

I'm catching them literally on the bank down to 30 ft. I know that really doesn't help, but in the mornings they are shallow and as the sun rises they go deep and towards cover.
