Tight end hurt his knee and Von Pearson is the receiver the op is talking about. Haven't heard an update on either but hope neither is serious.

sounds like good news. A few games is better than a season or worse. Most players would rather have a concussion(blow to the head) than a bad knee injury(blow to the knee).

That may not be the best long term mentality, but it is the truth. Players want to play. With a broken knee there is no hope of playing.
