Tess Darby should enter the portal. She is one of the best 3 point shooters in the country and they will NOT pass to her. She can spot up wide open and jump up and down screaming for the ball and they ignore her. Game before last she started 4-4 from three and they wouldn't give her the ball again. The 2 ball hogs will throw it up from half court while triple teamed to avoid passing it to Darby. I suspect I know why, but I hope I'm wrong.
 
Now they're down by 15 and the 2 ballhogs have attempted twice as many shots as the entire rest of the team. I realize they are the best players, but shooting bad shots while double teamed instead of passing to the open player is how you get beat. Does Kellie Harper not see what's going on??
 
I'm afraid that 3rd in the SEC is about as good as Harper is going to get. They should have hired Wes Moore from UTC back before they hired Warlick.

I have no opinion since I didn't watch nor have any idea about her.

But, after seeing this post yesterday, I saw this one on another board and remembered her name from here. Interesting how opionions differ on her.


  • Their biggest issue is Darby…..who's only asset is 3 point shooting….no dribble drive….no defense….slow….and glued to the floor. When she's not wide open, she's useless and she makes it 4 on 5.

    I knew when Kellie recruited Darby she was not LVs SEC material....She could play at UTM....Union University...MTSU types and be real good. Not where quickness counts

She's "glued to the floor" because she spots up wide open waiting on the ball that never comes. He's right about it being 4 on 5. The opponent has 5 defenders to guard 4 shooters because the other coaches aren't stupid and know who isn't getting the ball. As far as slow, watch her on defense. She's relentless. Yesterday the announcers agreed that if Tennessee was going to get back in the game they had to get the ball to Darby. That rarely happened and Darby didn't shoot well in this game.
