Aging a deer by the size of his testicles? It seems like 2.5 vs 3.5 year olds have a big difference in testicle size. Is it genetics or you think this would clarify age without aging teeth etc.. I killed a 4.5 year old few years back by tooth age and he was gifted more in that department than say a 2.5 year old.

From what I've seen anything like that has nothing to do with age. I had heard all my life you can tell if it was big buck if its track was as big as a 30-06 bullet . I killed a doe that had the biggest feet you've ever seen and I've killed big bucks with small feet.

You CAN'T say "testicle" around a group of 12 yr old and expect a serious response. Just ain't gonna happen.

Testicle size varies depending on the ambient temperature outside. Summer time I'd be 70-80 years old using that "aging" method. Winter I'd be in my early teens.
Speak for yourself. I haul mine around in a wheelbarrow year-round.

I'll post a picture if you want.... Just have to find my wife's purse first.
