Well I decided to pull the moleskin off my rest today and replace it with some new stuff. It was getting a little loose and I figured what the heck.
Got some new on there and even did a better job than the original.
Figured I would have a flyer the first time out since I fiddled with my rest.
First shot.... THUNK! bullseye.
Second Shot....THunk, 1/2" off
Third shot.... Pulled it and felt it when I shot.
Forth shot Thunk... Bullseye.
IT would seem that replacing the moleskin tightened up my groups. I guess the little corner that was loose where the arrow touched the rest was pushing my shots 2-3" Right on most shots.
Just goes to show that a little bow maintaince can go a looong way. 2-3" groups at 20yds was really messing with my confidence. Now I would hesitate to shoot 3 arrows at the same spot on my target for fear of breaking a nock.
Gotta love a cheap/free fix! Take a few seconds to go over your bow NOW and fix any problems before season.
