That was actually a pretty good game to watch.
SC has some heart.
Alabama looked pretty good too

First game I have got to watch this year in its entirety.

Re: The Alabama game

I think Alabama's Defense is pretty average this year. Might be the worst Defense Bama has had in a decade or more.

While I agree this is probably ALABAMA worst defense in recent years . It's miles ahead of the rest of the SEC ...

Only SEC teams that are in the same league are Georgia and LSU .

Time will tell to see how Saban can develop them .

Nobody is making excuses .

Someone pointed out this was ALABAMA worse defense in recent years and I agreed with them .

Time will tell of Saban can whip them into shape or not .

No excuses there . Read what you want .

Re: The Alabama game

If we face an elite defensive front and the O-line hasn't drastically improved, we are going to get beat. Also, if the d-line doesn't start getting more pressure and affecting the QB, we will get beat. A&M, LSU, and Auburn are all talented enough to give us issues.
The bright side of all this is we still have a few weeks before we get to the meat of the schedule. Also, Tennessee still sucks, really bad, after 20 rebuilding years so we will crush them.

Re: The Alabama game

Another thing, South Carolina did play a great game. If they come out like they did yesterday against the rest of their league schedule, they will wind up 2nd in the east. The Gamecocks will crush Tennessee as well.

Re: The Alabama game

No excuse making. Just pointing out observations. This year's defense just isn't what we have been acclimated to seeing from Alabama. It's still early but you can tell they've not got things clicking like normal, or as Saban would put it "not playing to the standard we set for ourselves". Also not hitting on all cylinders is the running game. The new coordinator seems to have changed the attack to the air instead of on the ground. South Carolina was ready for it by keeping Bama's #4 Jeudy out of the equation but Tua has more weapons than just Jeudy.

And penalties. Good Lord they gave up nearly 100 yards in penalties...I can't remember the exact total but it was 90 something yards in penalties.

Clemson will crush Alabama as well.

Re: The Alabama game

It took Alabama what 17 or 18 years to rebuild good enough to win a national championship? Just remember what goes up must come down.

That's what we have been hearing since Sabans first National Championship in 2009.

Clemson will crush Alabama as well.

At this point in the season, I concur.

Re: The Alabama game

Lol I know but we all know if he wins it one more time he is gone. Or will that tie him with Bryant?

Yea, we've been hearing that Saban is leaving Bama longer than we've been herring "what goes up must come down".
