Safe to say they aren't jakes anymore. Hope they stick around during the spring. They first showed up last March with 2 inch beards. There are 3 of them, only 2 in this pic

Nothing better than a 1.5yr old gobbler, they gobble liek crazy and come running to you. LOVE IT
3 of the 4 birds I got last spring were 2 year old birds, yeah they are the most fun to call in. The other bird was a 3 or 4 year old with hens that I finally had to belly crawl and stalk and ambush him in a field.

These three get a pass in my backyard.
Just curious but why do the turkeys get a pass there but not the deer?
mainly an issue with neighbors bird feeders (talked to twra they could be considered baiting for the turkeys) also I have watched these 3 birds for almost a year and they are semi tame so I figured I'd let them live. The deer are a different story

Gotcha. Kind of crazy that a neighbors bird feeder could be considered baiting.

it's a bird feeder and turkeys are birds... Of course I could go to a far corner of the neighborhood and try to get one with the bow but like I said these are half pet turkeys

what do you mean? I shoot what makes me happy, and I don't know if I'd be that happy if I shot one of the 3 jakes I have been enjoying watching in the yard.

Now here is something that is in danger if it shows up in the yard during season.... A fawn:
