Just taking a poll of sorts, hearing about alot of birds just not responding to calls this yr and resulting in the use of other tactics,so did your birds come to a call or were they bushwacked, stalked ect.. I'll start, all three of mine came to calls.

I have hunted East TN almost exclusively from Campbell county to Anderson county, Knox county, and even the edge of Union co. a little and the Gobbling has been great! I dont hunt them like deer myself, run and gun is my style of hunting and its worked great with the birds really working well so far here!

called in 2, set up on a field where they flew down into for another.

called in 2 others for buddies that shot them.....the past 2 weeks have been tough on calling though

I have called all mine in well my cuz called in the first one and I have called in several more for other people.

I called all mine. They have responded great here this season. Not a lot of gobbling after flydown....but that seems to be the norm over the past several years. ;)

I've called in 9 longbeards gobbling/ strutting to easy gun range this year (several were the same birds I called in more than once on different days). Add another 11 jakes, 3 of which came in gobbling and strutting.

Only chose to kill one bird this year, although I could have tagged out. Had I killed those birds the first time I called them in, I wouldn't have had birds to keep working over the next several days.

No bushwacking for me, just not my thing. I love the gobble/strut show too much.

Overall seemed birds worked to calls better this year than many of the past years.
