......is good for 35yd I think, at 40 he opens up to much for my liking. Have moved him back and forth from 15-35, both freehand and resting. Hopefully he will be able to use the shooting rails for more stability. This is the cheaper Blade xbow but I noticed that the safety is really loud, he just can't apply enough controlled pressure to muffle it. Do the higher end xbows have loud safeties?

The Stryker 350 that I bought for my son has a silent safety. Just depends on the model I would guess...and I'd say your boy is definitely ready to draw blood!!! Good luck!
