This is only the second year for fall hunting do the flocks still in the same area or do they move around alot? I found one flock of about 25 sat. deer hunting going wed. do you think they will be around this is wma land?

Generally in the fall/winter the burds will roost in the same areas.

Pretty good bet if a good food source is close by then they wont stray far.

Been hunting the same 5 farms for a couple of years and I can just about show you the trees where they are going to roost.

All the farms have great food sources(cows, peas, acorns, silage fields, etc).

Good luck.

Where I hunt, turkeys roost at wherever they end up that afternoon, I have called birds in right before dark, and they never offered me a shot, and just flew up in a the surrounding trees around my blind, so they would be next to what they thought was a hen, first thing in the morning, but they will stay in the general area, but come spring time, the bachelor groups that you may have seem during the fall will be most likely all split up, other than a few boss toms sticking together, but you will have a good chance of calling in a bird from where you seen them in the fall, some turkeys will cover up to a mile of distance to check out a hot hen that he heard
