From the pictures you can see the difference in arrow diamater. The insert is actually recessed into the shaft. Its a sweet shooting bow. I don't think that anything of more money would be any better really. It shoots all of 290 fps, smooth, and just a dream to shoot. The SABO sight was interesting, took a second to convince the guy behind the counter that it was what I wanted. After dialing it in, it is really the only sight I will ever have again. Instant feedback on youyr shooting form. The arrows are the new Easton Axis micro 400 spine arrows. Have nothing to say anything bad about them, except for you need special broadheads for them, or adapter rings. Which I found out the hard way. What you guys think?

I'm not a fan of the whisker biscuit, but one of the better 3D shooters around here shoots a G5 bow. It should serve you well. At what draw weight are you getting 290 fps? I'm assuming 60lb?

The sabo gen2 sight. Well, I bought it because I liked the theory behind it. I did have to add a uv light to enhance the dots for low lift shooting. The dots are projected onto the glass screen from the rear of the sight. It gives you instant feedback on if you are torquing the bow, which has proved invaluable this far. I do have a couple concerns with it though. One being it is glass it may be subject to fogging up and collecting rain and whatnot. I had it in my house where it was a balmy 72 degrees, took it outside the other day, and it fogged over. It did go away pretty fast, but only a true woods test will show. It's constructed very well and solid. I wish it would have come with a dust cover. But I may just use a ziplock bag in the intern. Feel free to ask some questions.

Yup sixty lbs. the biscuit is gonna have stay for now. It's got a wicked smooth draw on it. The arrows are strange but seem to get the job done. They are 9.5 gpi and cut to 29 1/2 inches on a 32 inch draw. It's a little on the shorter side but they group well. The true test will be this fall.

Please comment more on SABO sight. Very interesting. If this removes need for peep, I am really interested.
It does remove the need for a peep but I still use mine anyways.

I've seen someone try to set up one of those SABO sights and it looked nearly impossible. If you got it to work for you, that's great. But I think you're going to regret it when you get in the woods. A basic 5 pin setup would be much better due to its simplicity. Like you said, a true woods test will tell the tale, but I just don't have much faith in it.

Well, setting it up was not bad really. You use the rear "sight" for all the movements. This year will be the test. I can always go back to ol faithful if I have to.
