Here is the game winner:

A few years ago Notre Dame gets called against FSU. They look similar, but in last night's game, the blocker actually goes for the knees!

There were a bunch of no calls on both sides in that game. Several players (mostly Bama players) should have been ejected for targeting and cheap shots. I'm not a fan of either team, but I can't believe the Bammers' whining over this

No problem from me in this play .

ALABAMA did not lose the game on this play . ALABAMA lost the game letting them drive the ball down field to get into position to make this play .

Had we stopped watson at the 20 or whatever field position he started at and kept him from getting first downs and getting into ALABAMA territory we would have taken over the ball possibly gotten another touch down or run the clock down . But after reviewing the stats even that was unlikely .

its ran all the time by almost everyone.

just like people say you can call PI or Holding on about every single play.... sometimes it gets called sometimes it don't.

the titans got called on two pick plays during the loss to Jacksonville.... I watched a video someone posted after the game of them running the same play the same way against like 3 other teams for TDs NONE of them were called.

bottom line is its not why bama lost the game anyways & what is up with the great bama defense ,I personally heard on TNdeer it may be the best EVER! giving yup 75pts and a TON of yards during the last two NC games.

None? they have the best defense in the county look back at some of my other post I've said that.

so why has the best "D" in college football gave up 75pts and a million yards to Clemson the last TWO times they have played? is it just they prepare better over the long brake for bama or what?

The "rub" or "pick" play to Renfrow for the game winner was legal. If anything, it was defensive holding against the AL def back and by grabbing the "picking" Clemson WR and moving he actually picked his own teammate who had no choice but to move behind and around and too late to get back to Renfrow. Now, the earlier pick play that went for a TD to Williams looked like offensive PI to me.

Bama's D just got gassed in this game. Clemson ran over 90 offensive plays and Bama had something like 6-7 straight 3 and outs in the second half. The Scarborough injury really hurt Bama, but Bama, like Ohio State, simply had no ability to throw the ball downfield (except for the one pass to Howard). Hurts TD run to take the lead with two mins to go was incredible, but he can't pass downfield. Bama's D had nothing left in the tank.

I think there is a lot of truth in the post above .

It seemed to me ALABAMA game plan on defense was to wear them down early and rattle the QB which they had some early success doing . I think Clemson just had too much depth on offense and they did have the #1 quarterback in the NCAA that will probably be a first round pick up next year in the NFL . They were consistently able to make 1st down conversations where ALABAMA on offense was 1,2 3 and punt .
I don't think BO injury was a game breaker . The other backs did a admirable job in his place . Just too many factors working (wait for it) against US for a positive outcome .

Maybe Alabama wasn't as good as everybody thought they were. Or maybe Alabama's competition they were judged against throughout the year wasn't as good as everyone thought. The SEC is not what it used to be.

Clemson had too much depth on Offense? Are you saying they had more depth on O than Bama does D? Where has this notion came from? Ive heard it every since about the time Clemson took the lead Monday night. Bamas lack of depth on defense is showing up. Really?

Bama has one of the deepest rosters in the country. I mean they have had the #1 recruiting class since forever. Naw, it was more like that fast pace offense(ive heard that this wouldnt work on Bama from somewhere) of Clemsons wouldnt allow them to sub as much on defense along with Bamas O couldnt stay on the field long enough along with playing 99 snaps. Sounds like a conditioning problem to me. They might need to upgrade their S&C coach. :rotf:
