The Reconyx Hyperfire� HC 600

Has anyone experimented with using a Uway Black Flash Extender (Slave Flash) coupled with this Reconyx?

Any thoughts on this?

The one thing I've heard is that the camera meters its own light, so if you use a slave flash it just causes the camera to reduce its own flash, somewhat negating the advantage of the slave flash. The BuckeyeCams do the same thing.
