have any of the large winter flocks started splitting up into smaller groups and moving yet anywhere? im in norht east tn and am still waiting on 2 large flocks to split up before i have any move into some of the farms i hunt. hopefully the kids will start shooting tommorrow and help them split up.and some warmer weather would help too.

I Had four lone Gobblers until Tues. now I have 1 Long beard and 2 hens. Just like a female Mess up my hunt. I thought I would have a decent chance of calling in one of the four bearded birds for my son but now I am not for sure.

oh and specbone, here in washington co. the 2 flocks im needing to slit up have between 60 and 80 birds in each flock + 10 or 15 longbeards in each flock. but on wed i did see 5 hens all alone.

Find them in the roost Friday night and go in and bust them up, They will roost alone and be looking to get back together the next morning. Should make calling them in pretty easy!
