Im beginning to wonder if the curse is actually real. UT has been through a lot you must admit. We had some momentum going and the AJ Johnson/Mike Williams deal went down. Its a bad deal all the way around. If they are found guilty they should be nailed to the wall. If they are not they have still made their image along with UTs image questionable. Both suspended indefinately leaving TN without its best defensive player. Credit Butch Jones for taking swift action. Both were suspended quick and without question and it has been reported that Butch has not been in contact with them since.

It has been learned since Saturdays game against Missouri that Cam Sutton, TNs best cover corner, left the game in the first quarter because he blacked out momentarily on the field. He has admitted since then that this happens to him from time to time but has never happened on the field until Saturday. Its unknown yet what is causing this and whether it will affect his play from here on out.

It has also been brought to light that former Vol Eric Berry will miss the remainder of the season with the KC Cheifs for a non football related illness. First reports say that Berry had a mass found in his chest and its possibly Lymphoma. This does not affect UT directly but he is a VFL and has two brothers on the Vol squad.

When it rains in Knoxville, it pours in Knoxville. Go Vols.

I often thought the same thing many times during the last several years,we have the worst luck of any team I know of.If its not season ending injury of some of the top players, its something like losing AJ and other top players to suspensions. It is gut wrenching losses like when Tennessee had LSU beat but not because of to many players on the field or in the MCB when it appeared Tennessee had beaten North Carolina but another penalty. Our luck will surely change someday

Not really cursed... Things are just more noticeable when a team is not very good and losing games. No one ever really notices when a coach makes a bad call or bad decision on a good team that's winning. JMO.... :)

Nothing mentioned about bad calls or bad coaching decisions in what I said gator. All things I mentioned are about actual people, not football games, bad plays, missed calls, wins or losses.

All parties involved in the AJ case will never be the same regardless of what happens. Lives changed forever.

Cam Sutton has something going on that could possibly be brain related. May be brain injury, concussion, seizure related who knows but it could possibly change his life.

Eric Berry is facing a possible battle with cancer. Im sure you know how life changing that is.

These are people, not just football players that nobody cares about unless they are winning.

As far as injuries go, all teams have them. TN doesn't quite have the depth to make injuries less of an impact to the team/season. If Jones keeps recruiting like he has been that won't be as big of an issue in a year or two. I guess the same can be said when players have to be kicked off the team(for whatever reason) If the depth is there, the impact isn't as significant. Recruiting helps solve a lot of issues, not all but a lot.

NORTH is out rest of season also he needs surgery. josh smith another WR who looked sharp made more then a couple good plays to start the season has been out a good while and will not return for The vandy game, Are only senior on the O-Line missed games and is playing with a torn ACL.
Poor worley got killed and is hurt with his arm still in a cast lol
And you forgot about Randolph was out half the MIZZ game for targeting.
Just to Add a few thinga to the list.

Injuries have been pretty bad this year, especially having a thin roster anyway.

The things I posted are all possibly life altering events. That was the intent of my post.

Prayers to Sutton and Berry.

Had not heard that about Sutton but did see the story on tonights news about Berry. Said he's going to undergo further testing in Atlanta. Prayers go out to both of these guys. As for AJ Johnson I have mixed emotions on the situation and it has nothing to do with him being a Vol. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? If he did not rape this girl his image is tarnished and his name has been drug through the mud. He's likely missing his last two games of the season as well as senior night all because some girl has said he raped her. I have a daughter who is almost 15 so undoubtedly if he's guilty cut his balls off and shove them down his throat but just for arguments sake what if he's innocent? Just something to think about.

Same exact thing I said when Treon Harris was accused. The funny thing to me is it always seems to be the star players or QB's this happens to.

We could always chance the slogan from "brick by brick" to "curse by curse".... :D

Seriously? Come on now Bruce. I dont have a problem with your smack talk. If id said something about UF I wouldnt have expected anything less.

I was trying to make a sincere post. Cam or Eric may not mean anything to you and I get that but why you gotta troll this thread man?

Its been reported by the media that Cam has black outs all the time and its something that he has to deal with. I hate to see players getting injured but its part of the game and every team at one time or another has to deal with players being in trouble. Just part of college football and no curse... :(

That is if our certifiably stupid fan base doesn't run the man off first.

I don't believe that there is any kind of curse. Eric berry's and cam's health problems are very unfortunate and scary. Berry is a great athlete and a top notch guy and I pray for him and his family that he can beat the nastiest disease ever in cancer. But in no way is it a "vol curse."
The situation with AJ and Williams even if neither are guilty of any crime, has nothing to do with any curse by being a vol. It has more to do with putting yourself in positions you shouldn't be in.
I will be at the game Saturday and I hope cam is ok to play even if he makes the play(s) that beat the DORES. I'm hoping for a vandy win, but if it gets ugly, I hope the vols beat beat the DORES by 100!! Might be the only way we can get rid of maybe the worst HC in vanderbilt (and sec) history.

Have you noticed what has been going on at UGA lately? Look up the name Rico McGraw, Malcolm Mitchell, Todd Gurley, etc. It does suck to have this stuff happen when u seem to have momentum, but it really makes me feel bad for the kids. I saw that about Eric Berry today and was very saddened

It happned to the UF QB, right after the win he lead them to against the vols
Happend to AJ right after the come back win vs.SC
Thought that was odd Not saying they didnt do it or did just saying.
I was one vol fan that didnt make fun of UF fans when it came out about there QB. But it seems like it happens every year more then a few times? In college and in the NFL. And it turns out more then half are false. If he did it I wish the worst for him. But just my guess there more to the story. They did go to his apartment and take used and unused condoms, cell phone, Labtop, clothes and more. If he did it I think they will find out. If he didnt do it sucks for him been on that team 4 years. Could have went to the nfl came back looks like finally there going to a bowl and this.
