Who ya got?

I've been looking forward to this game all weekend.

I think it will be a good game with the vols winning.
Maybe pulling away early in the fourth.

My guess 33-24 vols

A close game favors GT, but if UT can pull ahead early then they can control the tempo and have a good shot at holding them off the rest of the way. UT is more talented, but GT is typically more disciplined, which gives them a chance.

28-17 UT

I agree controlling the tempo and time of possession will be critical to the success of the vols.
The vols have to try to keep that gt offense on the sidelines.
Gt has the ability to score on every snap. They were the only team vandys defense had terrible troubles with last year.
Defending a triple option is a tricky thing to do.
I'm hoping for an close/entertaining game to watch. Probably gonna be hard to judge what the vols really are by this game as it's not gonna be the normal type game they will play every week this season.

Who wins if this game turns into a high scoring shootout type game?
I don't know enough about the vol offense to even say, but then again does anyone?

Define "shoot out." GT isn't known for throwing the ball too much, but can really mix it up on the ground. They will mix in an occasional pass which can bust a big play, but they are breaking in a new QB so I don't know what to expect out of him. Vols are an unknown, and it really depends on which team shows up because they can win games that they shouldn't or play like cream puffs under Butch, seldom in between.

GT in a blowout

I have no proof and could be completely wrong but I think the Vols offense will be sneaky good this year. Dormady can sling it and I think hes got some weapons at WR. John Kelly will do JK things and I think Ty Chandler will work his way into games and make a name for himself. O-line could be the deal breaker.

As for the defense, LB could be in a world of hurt if some guys dont step up. D line is kinda thin. I think the DBs and safeties make a huge jump this year. I think Nigel Warrior is going to bust some heads.

As for the GT game, I dont think Techs defense can hang with TNs offense. Im just hoping it isnt the same for our D against their O. Shoop and Warren have had a good amount of time to prepare the defense for GT so who knows. They could stonewall GT or the Jackets could rack up 500+ yds. It will be an interesting game one way or another.

The key to this game, our defense, has Shoop straightened out the run defense, I'm just as worried about the cut blocking causing injury as the game

Vols have a lot of key holes that have been filled with question marks .

GT in Atlanta will have home court advantage and no doubt will be looking for a little payback .

GT x a large margin on this one !

Uh GT has several holes themselves, they are playing on an artificial turf field, not a court and what payback exactly are they looking for?

If GT wins it will be them 4 sec east 0 since last year in head to head matchups

That will look real good coming off a weekend we're both A&M & Florida lost to other conferences.

Georgia TECH will be looking to dispense a little payback for that "other" Georgia for lack of a politically correct word Hail Mary from last year.

Vols going to be walking into a lions den rather its on a court field or candy land board .

If you think GT is looking for payback against the Vols on UGAs behalf you are sadly mistaken.

Also the KEY holes that GT have are QB and RB. Seems like pretty key holes to me since both are key peices to any offense, let alone a triple option offense.
