Was thinking about buying for this next spring and was wondering if they worked and are they worth buying? Do they keep those pesking bugs from flying around your head? How far away do you like them to be (right beside you or a couple of feet away), do you like to keep them on the upper wind side of you? Any info would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
 
YES! One of the few things that actually do what they say. It keeps the bugs away. I set mine right next to me or when deer hunting hang it on a limb. I put mine up wind so it blows over me. Don't turkey hunt without one once the misquitos are out! I believe it says it is suppose to cover a 15 by 15 foot area.
 
Work great, can hunt naked in the swamp if you want. I believe he is right 15x15 coverage area.
 
I don't turkey hunt without it. Works great! I have heard the earth scent mats don't work, but I'm not sure. I just use the original mats.

and if I do, I go back and get it....bow hunting is not the same anymore, it's actually bug free......

I take mine in my shirt or vest pocket when I squirrel hunt. If I stop and sit under a tree for abit, I take it out , but usually it works fine while you walk slowly through the woods.
